With over 12 years of horseback riding experience and a psychology-based education, I grew passionate about the intertwine of horses and therapy. Upon working as a Registered Behavior Technician at an ABA company, I realized the benefits that could be provided by horses for those on the Autism spectrum.
I have an undergraduate degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences at UCSB and am a current Master's student in a Psychology field at UCI. Throughout my education I have involved myself in child-related research and educational clubs.
I undertook an internship specializing in equine therapy for the nonprofit organization WalkIntuit who's main focus is how horses can aid in grief therapy and substance abuse recovery.
